These terms describe use of the Kabuki Guide iPhone app, operated by Japanese Culture Guid.

An independent companion
Kabuki Guide is an English-language introduction for use before or after a performance. It is not an official service of a theater, performer, or cultural institution. It does not offer live subtitles, performance streaming, ticket sales, or reservations.
Free reading and advertising
The first release includes eight free play guides and introductory content. Banner advertising supports the app. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions. Titles marked Coming soon do not include a guide in the current version and do not have a promised release date.
Content and image rights
Writing, images, and other materials retain their respective rights and licenses. Sources and image credits appear with the relevant content in the app. Availability in the app does not grant blanket permission to copy or redistribute it. Where an image has an open license or is in the public domain, that status and any applicable license terms continue to apply.
If you believe an item is inaccurate or raises a rights concern, contact us with the title, image, or screen involved and any supporting information.
Preparing for a theater visit
Opening hours, performances, prices, accessibility arrangements, and theater rules can change. Confirm current information with the theater using its official website before traveling or making a booking. Descriptions of a play may differ from a particular production.
Your device and favorites
You are responsible for your device and its settings. Favorites are stored locally. The app does not offer account-based cloud sync or guaranteed recovery after uninstalling it. External websites and advertising need an internet connection.
Privacy and external services
The privacy policy explains local storage, advertising, and support requests. Third-party websites and services have their own terms and privacy policies.
Updates and corrections
We may update the app and correct or remove content, including to address accuracy or rights issues. The descriptions here do not guarantee a particular future feature or release date. These terms do not limit rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
