Your privacy.

Information on your device

You do not need an account. The app stores your favorites and initial reading preference on your device. We do not run an account service or upload these favorites to our own server. Search text is used to find content in the app; we do not send it to our own server.

Remove individual favorites using their heart buttons, or use Delete all favorites in My Library. The app does not provide account-based cloud synchronization or promise recovery after it is uninstalled.

Banner advertising

Google AdMob provides banner advertising, and Google’s User Messaging Platform manages advertising privacy choices. The advertising SDK may process your IP address, device and app information, identifiers, diagnostic information, and ad interactions to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud. An IP address may be used to estimate an approximate location. The app does not request precise location access.

We request non-personalized ads, disable publisher first-party ID, and do not request App Tracking Transparency permission. Non-personalized advertising still involves data processing. We do not send your search text, favorites, or reading history as custom advertising data, and we do not include a separate app analytics service.

Your advertising choices

Where required, a Google consent form presents privacy choices. When available, you can revisit them in My Library → About & privacy → Advertising privacy choices. The options depend on the consent service’s assessment, including your region.

Your advertising choices, an unavailable ad, or a connection failure do not prevent you from reading the included content.

Contacting support

If you email japanese.culture.guide@gmail.com, we receive your email address, the message, and anything you choose to attach. We use this information to respond, investigate the issue, and follow up on your request. The support mailbox uses Gmail; Google processes messages as the email service provider.

Please share only what is needed to explain the issue. You can ask us to delete correspondence using the same address. We may need to retain information to resolve an ongoing request or meet applicable legal requirements. Provider-controlled records and backups are subject to that provider’s policies.

External websites

Theater links, source links, and advertisements may open external services with their own privacy practices. Our support website has a separate website privacy notice, including information about Cloudflare hosting.

Retention and requests

Local favorites remain on your device until you remove them or the app’s stored data. We cannot retrieve them from a server. Google controls retention of data processed by its advertising and email services according to its applicable policies.

For information we receive directly through support, contact us to request access, correction, or deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, or contact your data protection authority. We may ask for information necessary to verify and handle your request.
